When Alex said "prefix" he meant to create the needed file hierarchy under
~/config/non-packaged/. In case of your driver, that should be
..../add-ons/kernel/drivers/bin/ for the driver binary and
..../add-ons/kernel/drivers/dev/audio/hmulti/ for the symlink to that binary.
