Enrique,

The direct radius mode was something that I put in to give myself the 
ability to work on EAP methods while I was in areas that I couldn't 
easily run an authenticator.   I think that it still has value for that.

So, yes, I plan on fixing that code.  I am going to try to fix by early 
to mid next month.
