The AYAD program provides financial support for Australians between ages 18-30 to work with local non-profit organizations in less-developed countries. The position at OLE Nepal is for a period of 12 months. We are looking for a software engineer with considerable experience working with open-source software, particularly fedora linux, python, and the LAMP stack. The software engineer will help the OLE Nepal team develop effective educational software (under MIT License), tune the OLPC XO's underlying software, and supporting server-side components. The software engineer's primary role will be too improve the abilities of OLE Nepal's team of Nepali engineers. We especially are looking for an individual with knowledge of how to manage open-source software projects, unit testing, performance testing, build systems, etc. For more detail, please see the attached document.
