Comment:

 Reproducer:

 {{{
 ok essid open
 ok ntp-set-clock
 ok ping 8.8.8.8
 deferred word not initialized
 Can't open network device
 }}}

 The wireless indicator remains lit after ntp-set-clock, but it should not.

 Diagnosis: ntp-set-clock does an SNTP query for a series of hosts:
  * the host identified as ''ntp-server-ip'' by the DHCP server response,
  * the host with name "time",
  * the host with IP address 172.18.0.1,
  * the host with name "0.pool.ntp.org", and so on.

 The query for the host with name "time" did fail, and the abort left the
 /wlan device open. This led to the symptoms.

 Solution: handle the abort and close the device. Fixed in svn 3699. The
 wireless indicator now correctly turns on for each SNTP query, and turns
 off afterwards.
