Okay, it finally loaded. To give Oracle the beneft of the doubt, I'm hoping
performance is related to "opening day" traffic. The extra click for a
search is counter-productive for me - I can't just click on a boomark, enter
my userID/password and start my search anymore. Now I have to wait for the
page to load, click the search button and then enter my search criteria.
I will say that the advanced search features are *nice* to have, but I want
the base search functionality to load fast and be the first thing I see.
Advanced searches should be an option.
I hope Oracle rethinks their approach.

Just curious. Anyone else dislike the changes to MetaLink made this
weekend. Seems like a big step backwards at this point. Plus it's
painfully slow right now. Where's my quick text field. Search results
don't give any match percentages. Ugh!!!
