All,
<p>I like to inform you that <a \
href="http://otn.oracle.com/consulting/9iServices/JHeadstart2.html">Oracle9i \
JHeadstart</a> is now available. <p>JHeadstart is a tool kit that automates the \
development of transactional J2EE applications by wiring together out-of-the-box \
reusable components. It is based on the Model-View-Controller architecture principles \
and uses different Oracle Frameworks to implement this architecture:
<ul>
<li>
Business Components for Java (BC4J) for the Model</li>

<li>
UIX or JSP for the View</li>

<li>
9iAS MVC Framework for the Controller.</li>
</ul>
JHeadstart offers a declarative way of developing J2EE applications. The
JHeadstart Application Generator (JAG) uses this information and the generic
reuasble components to implement the View and Controller component in the
above mentioned frameworks. To give you an idea what is possible with the
(JAG) a list of features is included below. Most of these features are
demonstrated in the viewlets on OTN. The JHeadstart generic reusable components
and the frameworks enable you to extend the generated result.
<p>JHeadstart is fully integrated with Oracle9i JDeveloper.
<p>For more information on JHeadstart follow the link above and check out
the viewlets (it may take a while before they start up) or send an e-mail
to this forum or the <a \
href="http://www.oracle.com/forums/forum.jsp?id=1216734">JHeadstart forum on OTN</a>.
