The ntpd daemon reports "exiting on signal 10".

The system is Sun hardware, Solaris 9 operating system:
  SunOS sundoc21 5.9 Generic_122300-37 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V445 Solaris

NTP was configured with
  ./configure --disable-all-clocks --without-crypto

The runtime configuration is

  peer sundoc20
  restrict default kod nomodify notrap nopeer
  restrict 10.20.200.63 ignore
