Some of the stats are interesting. There are unexplained jumps in the number of
receive buffers are it had been processing normally, going from 135 buffers to
375 in just 10 seconds. We also seem to have lost one buffer, but that seems to
be consistent across multiple servers. I'm curious in why there is such a big
jump at Mon Aug 20 21:06:39 UTC 2007. It could be that it's just receiving
packets and doesn't get a chance to process them for a while. ALso I notice that
it hasn't dropped or ignored any packets unless the stats are wrong.

We might also want to consider allocating initially more buffers and increments
for production NTP servers serving large numbers of queries and make it a
command line option.
