I may not get the chance to apply this for another week; I'm about to go
out of town.

I appreciate the bk patch.

If you get the time, please see the instructions at the bottom of
README.hackers, as any change to ntp-stable needs to be applied to
ntp-dev as well; if there are conflicts during that merge it is lots
easier (on me) and safer if the patch author fixes them as part of the
submission process.

Regardless, I'll try the pull myself; maybe I'll get lucky!
