Right -- either one (sFlow and/or netFlow) will force -M ... i.e. no merge
...

turn it off via the plugins page and restart ntop

i am able to switch between nics under Admin | witch nic. Netflow plugin was
active, but not by myself. Seems to be active by default?

1. Check if you see this message under Admin | switch nic: "You can't switch
among different inferfaces unless the -M command line switch is used.
Sorry."

2. If not, check your plugins and see if either netflow or sflow is active.
Regardless of whether you're using them, if they're active, they (silently)
force the -M switch on.

I can & will fix the message to add that second case...

compiling from source  snapshot = 02.05.23. I am running with

ntop -P /var/log/ntop -p /usr/local/share/ntop/protocol -w 3000 -u ntop -E
-S 1 -k -r 240 -j -i eth0,eth1 -b localhost:3000

Ntop is running well, however merging of the two eth is not being done. I
must switch manually in order to view each.

Also, in a previous post Burton asks why i was not using the -j switch (i am
now), using this disables quite a few features, i.e. matrix, tcp sessions,
multicast. I am in a catch 22, these features are invaluable yet using a
mirrored port to capture is nec in my environment. Any suggestions out
there?
