I compiled ntop v.2.0.0 mt (ssl) [i686-pc-linux-gnu] (01/28/02 05:59:33 pm
build) listening on [eth1] without a kernel (libpcap) filtering expression.
I used the redhat 7.2 libcap (libpcap-0.6.2-9) on a server with redhat 7.1
With this library seem to work.
There is a problem: a lot of traffic are reported as NON IP and this is
strange (all the PC on my lan are configurated with only the TCP/IP).
Ok it's possible that the problem is of my lan, but in the Global Protocol
Distribution you can see that the global IP traffic is 25.1 MB while the
global TCP traffic is 60.5 MB. I think that there is an error in the
report of the IP / NON IP traffic.
The data on my report is:
ip 25.1 MB (38.2%)
tcp 60.5 MB
udp 237.6 KB
icmp 13.2 KB
ciao,
Massimo
