Summary: Ability to add several icons to the (un-) installer

Initial Comment:
Hey guys,

it would be just awesome, if you can enable support for adding several icons via e.g. \
MUI_ICON "icon1.ico" "icon2.ico" (...) "iconN.ico" and the same for MUI_UNICON. This \
way, users like me would be able to embed icons within their setups / uninstallers \
and use them on the target-system, instead of copying .ico-files to the target.

Best regards,
 Martin.. :)

Message:
Well, I tried ResHacker back in 2007 when I switched from XP to Vista and
there was always an error (issued from Vista), telling me about ResHacker
not being able to launch or compatible with my plattform..

Regarding your question, I would suggest to do it like in the initial
request, i.e.:
MUI_UNICON "icon1.ico", "icon2.ico", (...) "iconN.ico" - maybe there
should be a limit like 32 icons or so..

This way, users would also be able to use different icons on different
(custom) pages - IMHO at least..

Message:
Why wouldn't it work on Vista x64? The installer is still 32-bit, so it
shouldn't affect anything.

As for the request itself, the uninstaller is not meant as an information
store and I wouldn't want to add features to the compiler to serve only
that end, especially when they're not that trivial. Which identifiers are
you going to give to those new icons? How will their order be set?

Message:
That's the problem - ResHacker doesn't work with Vista, especially not with
Vista x64 (which I'm running)..

Regarding your question: the ability to embed more icons within the
uninstaller would at least offer such functionality, because the
uninstaller remains on the target-system as long as the user uses the
programm - and that's exactly how long I'd like to have the icons on the
target-system. ;)

Message:
How would your application use the icons if they're in the installer?

In any case, you could use the following to embed icons as well:
