I'm just a user too, but perhaps one with more experience than most using
NSBSymbolLib, so I'll chime in just so you don't feel ignored.

Unfortunately, I don't have any clues for you.  I haven't seen anything like
this myself, but I don't have any SPTxxxx units with integrated WiFi either.

All I can suggest is good 'ol fashioned sleuthing to narrow the cause.
