Alrighty! Thanks for the info...

BUT...

I thought that by declaring the number of numerals in the float, the "extra"
digits would be cut off?

I guess I am assuming that these digits would be cut off for the conversion
to a string.

Doug,

You're right - it's the errors, not the values, that should be minimal.

However, a negative double-precision floating point value can be quite
"minimal" (although its magnitude isn't)...
