Possibly an undocumented (other than in the rocks7-beta Google group) feature...
Do this...
# /opt/rocks/bin/rocks set host installaction <nodename> action=install\ headless
# /opt/rocks/bin/rocks set host boot <nodename> action=install
...then reboot <nodename>
After that the command...
# rocks console <nodename>
...should work as expected.

I am not sure when this broke but I agree it is not longer working. I am sure it was \
working on early Rocks 7, but my latest cluster which was just installed with Rocks 7 \
+ Centos 7.6 doesn't seem to have a functioning rocks console. If I ssh to the node \
as it is installing I can't find anything vnc related running

Subject: [Rocks-Discuss] rocks-console problem
We recently upgraded our ROCKS 6.1.1 cluster to ROCKS 7.0, but in bringing up the \
clients, we have noticed that we can no longer use rocks-console. When we try to use \
it, we get the message:
{root}% rocks-console compute-2-0.local

Has anyone seen this? Any ideas on how to fix it?
