We have cluster with rocks 6.1.1. Initially I created some admin user accounts via \
the desktop gui with home directories in /export/home and their default individual \
groups.

The cluster has an external storage attached which will house all the normal user \
directories as well as application software etc. This storage is not part of rocks \
install.

I have now created some groups via the command line and also user accounts that have \
their home directory on an nfs mounted partitions. The accounts seem to work as \
users can login. But I then found that while I can create directories and can change \
permissions as root on the head node everything is under the ownership of nobody. The \
partitons are no root squash exported so that is not the problem.

When I checked groups existed and accounts seem to work ish but all has nobody:nobody \
instead of user1:group1.

Any idea where the problem is or where I might have gone wrong. The groupadd and \
useradd commands are pretty standard. And I did the make in /var/411.

Thank you in advance for your help

Marlies
