yes i think you're right. also there will be up to 4 jobs running in each
node (processors with 4 cores) and i can't risk the files of the jobs mixing
up. what i plan to do is to chmod 777 the nodes' HDs as suggested and
create/delete directories on the fly for each job. though i should set up
the tmpdir to the local hd too, to save overhead time.
