I had a similar problem, and opened a case with Support Connection.
After getting DS clean, we re-extended the schema, and then reinstalled
iManager. Once we did that, I could connect again.

I came across something similar when I first upgraded from 5.1 to 6.5.
We upgraded fairly soon after 6.5 came out so I was able to call and
have a
Novell tech from Utah fly out to my location and help repair the
problem.

The whole time he was here his phone was ringing about customers with
the same issues.

Apparently NetWare 6.0 and even more so 6.5 rely heavily on certs.  If
you have a 5.1 server
and your certs are broken (you wouldn't know if they where unless you
are using certs) then when you do the
upgrade you certs remain broken.   Which prevents iManager among other
things from loading.
This was apparently what happened in our case.

When I did this with NW 6.5 SP2, I had the same problem. That is, on a
fresh, clean installation, iManager installs and works no problem.
However, when I did an across-the-wire upgrade from an existing NW 5.1
server, it broke iManager. In researching how to fix this, I
discovered
that I was not alone. Apparently, upgrades posed a pernicious problem
for iManager, and only by ripping it and Apache and tomcat out and
installing them from the product overlay CD was I able to get iManger
2.2 working.

We may be looking at something similar here.
