I'm kinda impressed with NDPS from what I have seen in the past, but
now I have an urgent need for it to replace UNIX Print Services as we
upgrade to NW5.1 and it doesn't do what I want.

I like the tick box that says "Make this available as an LPR queue" -
very neat. I'm sure that when we use it in earnest, I will love most of
it, but...

I see that you can set a printer agent to send all print requests to a
legacy (non-NDPS) print queue. However, the only information that the
lpr2ndps.nlm appears to enter into the queue (apart from the data) is
filesize, and the fact that it came from an NDPS queue.

I would like to see username. In fact, I have to see username for our
printing software to work. Please can someone tell me if it is possible
to populate the non-NDPS queue with information which was passed to
NDPS?

Thanks again (especially to those who told me that I didn't have to
worry about the line in the manual that said you can only use NDPS with
NW5.1 ;-)

Mark.
