There have been so many studies into the comprehensibility and
maintainability of code of various "code complexity", with mostly
meaningful defintions of the term; not to mention studies of something
people call "software physics" [the basis behind "software engineering",
by implication], that one would hope that someday your DoDvolken would
find a better metric.

Yes, Literate Programming would be a great improvement, as would even
literate programming.  ;-)
