just so happens I'm working with breezy and a Via C3 board myself - just
started working with it 3 days ago and immediately saw the same problems.
I was just assuming I had a hardware issue, as most of the HW is old -
but I'm now inclined to believe it's a breezy bug.

one option is to update to dapper - I'm going to give that a shot today
and see what happens.
