Try scanning an unpatched Solaris 2.5.1 or 2.6 autoclient.  They seem more
vulnerable.

I evidently killed about 150 inetds while testing nmap 1.51 against such
machines.  This did not make me very popular, but it made Sun even less
popular. :-)

Machines set up as autoclients had inetd die, while others seemed to
survive.
