Yes, you should be ok. You=92ll have to define the auto discover DNS entrie=
s in each DNS zone, but they can all point to the same back-end servers. Y=
ou can even define multiple GMS servers too. The docs are pretty decent on=
this. You=92ll just have a set of entries for each distinct email domain.
The problem stems from when the host name of the GMS server does not match =
the public host name for the service (and it boggles my mind how it=92s not=
possible to control this, this is common practice to define services using=
different DNS names from the host that actually holds the service, I think=
just about every enterprise customer I work with does this.. but I digress=
). You have no choice with auto discover but to expose the REAL host name =
of the server.
The host name control/setting is a significant flaw as far as I=92m concern=
ed.
