Hi Wim,
 
Thanks for the response but unfortunately that gets us back to the original reason \
that a nickname cannot be used instead of the DL for the workaround - It can't be \
added to the address book.   
My understanding was that in v8 and above the DLs now have granular control at the \
GWIA so individual DLs can enabled / disable for Internet email.

Hmm, I was too quick, I got the mail sent, while I was not finished:
 
- Create a DL
- assign a nickname to that dl. This is the name that will be known to the "outside" \
                world
- nickname must have "system"-visibility
- Add DL to GWIA class of service
- sync dl until it is visible in the domain database
- check if the gwia.cfg has the line: "/nickgroup". If not, add line.
- restart GWIA (F6/F7)
- run
