I'm pretty sure this is working as designed. If the actual databases (user and msg) \
do not exist, the auto-archive process does not happen. So the user needs to do one \
archive operation (manually) to create the archive databases.

One thing it helps, is to keep from creating a new archive automatically should the \
archive path change. If the path changes (either administratively or by user action) \
it would create a split archive, if the process was 100% automatic.

Hi All,

I've got a question:

for some reason the archiving doesn't start automatically for newer users after our \
90-days setting.

Some of them have mail of aug 2009.

The only way -now- is to archive 1 item, and then the next time GW is started, it \
runs normal.

Is there a way to trigger archiving, except for the users to manually archive mail?

We're running GW 8.01.

Thanks,

Wim
