If you wanted to mess with DNS then you can create a domain name like test.domain.com \
-and use it to send/receive.

Take Care.

Fraser,

The way I do it is to add name and IP address of the test GW system in the route.cfg \
file of the production system. If I remember correctly, a restart is necessary. \
Then, you can send both ways between the production and test system without putting \
the test system into DNS.

Good Day,

I would like to setup a test server so I can try configurations, etc out on and not \
touch the production servers until everything tested and documented on the test \
system and I know exactly what works. The part that I am unsure of is how do you \
actually test that the GWIA is sending email to the internet properly. For example \
apsea.ca is the DNS suffix on our system. And we already have a GWIA setup using this \
information. I know you can setup a PO and Domain with different domains and they \
will work. But how do you setup the GWIA and actually have it send to the internet or \
properly simulate that it does? For example we have had the occasional 550 error on \
our main system. I would like to try and reproduce this on a test system so I can see \
where the issue may be before I go drilling into the production server. All input on \
this is welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Fraser
