Right, you used to have to use a /dn switch to log the mta into the
network, but they fixed that.   Any other services that may be trying to
log into the network using the POA userid?   I'm grasping here.   Do you
have web access running on that box?   GroupWise Monitor?   I can't
think of anything else.  Can you get any additional information, like
where the log in is coming from?  Mac Address?  IP address?    Anybody
aware of a new feature with 8 that's causing this?   Novell?

At the time of installation of the cluster 2 years ago we needed the
/user /password switches for the MTA's
to get it running on the cluster. Don't know exactly, but i think that
was written in a TID  only for the MTA's
