My colleagues have tried use the following steps to recover the password using GW6.0x \
client and found it works: Login online mode"Tools" à "Hit The Road" à enter the \
online mode passwordClick "Next" Make sure the correct location of Caching Mailbox \
was selected. Then click "Next"Click "Next"Uncheck all options and click \
"Finish"Click "Yes" to use Online Mailbox password to access your remote \
mailboxLogout GroupWise client and login Caching mode with new password.Try to see \
whether it works.

Yes, As I understand it....

1. Change the password (online). Have the user bring up GW in the
Online mode.
2. Have the user change the password in GW there.
3. Close, and restart GW in caching mode, using the password from step
2

I do not know if this accually works, as I do not have any users
running Caching, but
did see this TID, and wanted to offer it as it may do the trick.

Thanks for the response. In reviewing this TID, after changing
password
(which changes the online password only), switch to caching mode.
When
I switch to caching mode, I'm prompted for the caching password - this
is where the problem is. The user does not remember his caching
password.
I do not see anywhere in online mode to change the password for
caching
mode. Is there any way to change the caching mode password from
online
mode. Am is misunderstanding the TID?

I have a user that works in caching mode. For some reason, he forgot
his caching mailbox password. I changed his online password, but he
still cannot access caching mode without the previous password. Is
there any way to change the caching mailbox password without logging
into it?
