It's probably not your power supply. There is a small electronic component within the \
MP 2x00 that causes the reaction you've described after it has failed.

NewtonTalk veteran Frank Gruendel can be a big help with this. He has written about \
what could be the likely cause at http://www.pda-soft.de/en/stories/1771/max1771.html \
...and in a very entertaining fashion as well.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND that there could be other things causing your problem--but this \
seems to be the likely culprit. Just like when you call the auto \
mechanic/veterinarian/doctor, describe the problem, and ask what they think it could \
be, the response is always usually something like "You'll have to bring it in/come on \
in so we can take a look at it/you."

If Frank's not too busy you can exchange emails back and forth, if the link above \
isn't the problem.

Thanks,
--Forrest

"The idea that Bill Gates has appeared like a knight in shining armour to lead all \
customers out of a mire of technological chaos neatly ignores the fact that it was he \
who, by peddling second-rate technology, led them into it in the first place." \
