Excuse me? I don't care what editor you use. I don't like vim much
myself, and rarely edit anything with CUI tools for serious purposes.

Why would you need a special editor at all? The formatting is largely
fine; if it needs any work at all, it's only minor aesthetic changes.
What really needs work is the clarity and quality of writing.

Of course it's false. They're two completely different programs. What
made you think otherwise?
You seem to be completely missing the point here. Tex files are plain
text and have well separated formatting and content. You don't need
any sort of special editor for them at all.

If I recall my perusal of those documents correctly, worry not;
there's plenty to be done within them that requires absolutely no
comprehension of the details of netsukuku's operation, theoretical or
practical (although I'm pretty sure almost all of those cover only
theory). Just go through and look for things like grammatical errors,
unnecessarily awkward phrasings, or confusing word choice.
