Not quite sure if it is related to Squid but our proxy server stops
responding with the following:

NRPE was compiled on the server and runs from Inetd
Box is a RedHat 6.1 with kernel 2.2.16-3
Squid is version 2.3 stable

For now I have to stop using nrpe as we can not afford to lose the internet
connection.

Any thoughts?
