Altroot is a mount point.  There to be found to found
in potentially worst case sit. -- where adding the directory
would completely corrupt the filesystem...
Rescue and stand are two flavors of the same thing.
If you have rescue boot, or stand alone media, and you've
proven you can boot to functional root prompt for yourself,
(with the media, and you can maintain the media...)
You shouldn't need any of [the above].
