Hi Joel--

Thanks for the response--I haven't really inspected the motherboard of 
the Performa yet, but I'll do it this weekend. The only hard drive in 
it is an internal 1 GB Quantum that I salvaged out of a PowerMac 7500. 
The Mac OS partition is 200 MB, swap is 32 MB, and I gave the rest to 
the root/user partition.

I've read some posts about slow disk I/O on these machines, but so far 
I can't see it. Maybe I just got lucky. Things could change when I 
actually start running Apache, however.
