I am writing this on my T61p (I don't know if there is a substantial
difference). I have:
# dmesg | grep card
cardslot0 at cbb0
cardbus0 at cardslot0: bus 8
pcmcia0 at cardslot0
I won't be able to test a cardbus card until Monday at work. The
laptop runs amd64-current:
# uname -a
NetBSD lisa 5.99.48 NetBSD 5.99.48 (GENERIC) #1: Sat Mar 12 02:01:40
GMT 2011 root@lisa:/usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/compile/GENERIC amd64
The only change to GENERIC is
# cat /usr/src/sys/arch/amd64/conf/GENERIC.local
options PCI_INTR_FIXUP # PCI interrupt routing via ACPI
options PCI_BUS_FIXUP # fixup PCI bus numbering
options PCI_ADDR_FIXUP # fixup PCI I/O addresses
- otherwise I get error messages for both the cardbus adapter and the
SD card reader; with the fixups they both work (although I haven't
actually tries the cardbus for quite some time, so couldn't be sure).

I've got iwn on this laptop, which has never failed:
# dmesg | grep iwn
iwn0 at pci3 dev 0 function 0: vendor 0x8086 product 0x4230 (rev. 0x61)
iwn0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 17
iwn0: MIMO 2T3R, MoW2, address 00:13:e8:47:40:89
iwn0: 11a rates: 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps 24Mbps 36Mbps 48Mbps 54Mbps
iwn0: 11b rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps
iwn0: 11g rates: 1Mbps 2Mbps 5.5Mbps 11Mbps 6Mbps 9Mbps 12Mbps 18Mbps

All in all, this is the best laptop I've ever had...
