Yes, it has been failing, but not in this way. Here we have a dump
from /usr/bin/ld, previously it used to fail much later, executing the
newly created mono.exe or similar, it was kinda weird to trace. I
actually don't remember the last time I was able to build it, it was
certainly years ago. Not that I personally use it, but there are gnome
bits dependend on it ( which I currently comment out ).
