Hello. I am following the instructions here, to set up TimeMachine backups
for a number of OS X boxes.

http://blog.khubla.com/freebsd/time-machine-backups-using-freebsd-zfs

The TimeMachine config is set to:

[TimeMachine]
time machine = yes
path=/storage/timemachine/$u
valid users = @timemachine
#500 GB (units of MB)
vol size limit = 512000

This is resulting in Netatalk creating a one directory per user, with
subdirectories for each host, such as

/storage/timemachine/tom/HOSTA
/storage/timemachine/tom/HOSTB
/storage/timemachine/tom/HOSTC

I've set my dbpath like this

vol dbpath = /var/netatalk/CNID/$u/
This has resulted in one directory per user, with a single .AppleDB
directory

For example:

/var/netatalk/CNID/tom/.AppleDB

My question is about .AppleDB. If I log in as "tom" from more than one OS
X machine, is the .AppleDB database able to differentiate b/c hosts? or do
I need

/var/netatalk/CID/tom/HOSTA/.AppleDB
/var/netatalk/CID/tom/HOSTB/.AppleDB
/var/netatalk/CID/tom/HOSTC/.AppleDB

?
