Hi,

I am wondering if it is possible to have netatalk or appletalk servers
showing up in OS 9 Chooser or in OS X Go -> Connect to Server dialogue
when the client and server are on opposite sides of a Linux masquerading
(or transparent) firewall? I am able to connect by specifying host name
or IP address, but I want the servers to show up for users so they can
click rather than type host name or IP address. I am thinking this
might require netatalk running in the firewall as a router between
different appletalk networks?

There is a Sourceforge project NetBIOS forwarder

http://nbfw.sourceforge.net/

that addresses exactly this issue for Samba, and I am wondering if
something similar (i.e. modification to atalk daemon) is required to
make this work for netatalk/appletalk?

Thanks,
Gary S.
