i had the same problem (i too run dual stack). you can start a second
afpd listening on your v6 address by adding a second line to your
afpd.conf such as this:

 

"ipv6" -tcp -noddp -ipaddr :: -uamlist uams_dhx.so,uams_dhx2.so
-nosavepassword

Thank you! I had no idea that the mumbo jumbo (mapped address) meant
that I needed to add an -ipaddr parameter to the afpd.conf file!
Netatalk now opens a IPv4 socket at port 548!
