Hi everybody, I am using netatalk 2.0.3 (only afpd) in combination with MacOS 10.4.x. We need to store an Aperture (http://www.apple.com/aperture) library on the share and have run into a problem: whenever I delete a photo from the library, the file seems to be removed from the library but when I quit and reopen Aperture it is here again. It seems that Aperture is trying to move the file to delete to the trash and this does not work (it works when the library is on a local volume). My guess is that it does not work because already in the Finder, whenever I delete a file from the netatalk share, the Finder asks me: The item 'blabla' will be deleted immediately. Are you sure you want to continue? Why does this happen? The network trash itself has no restricting permissions set: backup:/home/hbf# ls -lsa /mnt/aperture/aperture/ total 52 4 drwxrwxrwx 9 root root 4096 2006-09-21 18:51 . 4 drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 4096 2006-08-31 17:59 .. 16 -rw-rw-rw- 1 mit mit 15364 2006-09-21 18:38 :2eDS_Store 4 drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 2006-08-31 17:36 .AppleDB 4 drwxrwxrwx 2 mit mit 4096 2006-08-31 17:36 .AppleDesktop 4 drwxrwxrwx 2 mit mit 4096 2006-09-21 18:51 .AppleDouble 4 drwxrwsrwx 8 mit mit 4096 2006-09-21 15:35 f +r_Archiv1.aplibrary 4 drwxrwxrwx 3 mit mit 4096 2006-08-31 17:36 Network Trash Folder 4 drwxrwxrwx 3 mit mit 4096 2006-08-31 17:36 Temporary Items Many thanks for any help, Kaspar -- (afpd -V) afpd 2.0.3 - Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) daemon of Netatalk This program is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.
