I upgraded my server here to a P4 box that has a SiS900 on the
motherboard. 1.6.4 runs, and atalkd comes up OK, afpd starts up and
everything works, except that it won't AppleTalk to anything else.
ASIP works fine: I can mount vols, and copy files to & fro.

Syslog says:

May 22 18:56:28 fe atalkd[5694]: [main.c:1090]: I:ATalkDaemon: restart (1.6.4)
May 22 18:56:29 fe atalkd[5694]: [zip.c:910]: I:ATalkDaemon:
zip_getnetinfo for eth0
May 22 18:56:59 fe atalkd[5694]: [main.c:278]: I:ATalkDaemon: config
for no router
May 22 18:57:00 fe atalkd[5694]: [main.c:659]: I:ATalkDaemon: ready 0/0/0
May 22 18:57:00 fe atalk: atalkd startup succeeded
May 22 18:57:06 fe atalk: Registering fe:Workstation: succeeded
May 22 18:57:12 fe atalk: Registering fe:netatalk: succeeded
May 22 18:57:12 fe atalk: afpd startup succeeded

So everything looks cool, but the box can't "see" any AppleTalk
entites other than itself, and, of course, nothing else can "see" the
Linux box:

[root@fe log]# nbplkup
                              fe:AFPServer
65280.164:128
                              fe:netatalk 65280.164:4
                              fe:Workstation 65280.164:4

From a Mac on the same network:

talktool -n
## talktool: Network search for: '=' '=' '*'

## talktool: 3 matches
Object Type Zone
Net Node Socket

Ph Darwin *
65460 146 128
Mg Darwin *
65312 89 128
LaserWriter 4/600 PS LaserWriter *
65520 133 128

Has anyone had any luck with this combo? It may be that I have left
some vital option out of the kernel config (2.4.21-9.0.3.ELcustom),
but before I spend too much time on this, it'd be good to know that
it works. If not, I'll just stick in a PCI e-net card (any
recommendations?)

Thanks for any response.
