Summary: snmp support for php not working

Initial Comment:
    My system doesn't recognize the snmp functions and
displays this message: Call to undefined function:
snmpget(). Though I can run snmpget from the console
and get the right results.
    I believe that i haven't configured right php or
ucd-snmp.
    I am using RedHat Linux 7.0
    I have installed the apache server (1.3.12) from an
rpm on the RedHat cd.
    I have php 4.0.1pl2 again installed from an rpm
from the RedHat cd.
    I have installed ucd-snmp 4.1.2, I downloaded it
using webfind tool of gnoRPM.
    What can i do to get php working with the snmp
functions?
