docsDevNmAccessIpMask.1: Bad value notation

C:\>snmpset -m all -Oqs 10.11.124.16 private 
docsDevNmAccessIpMask.1 a "255.255.
255.0"
docsDevNmAccessIpMask.1 255.255.255.0

C:\>snmpset -m all -Oqs 10.11.124.16 private 
docsDevNmAccessIpMask.1 a "255.255.
255.255"
docsDevNmAccessIpMask.1: Bad value notation 
(255.255.255.255)

Seems that UCD can't set an IP address of 
255.255.255.255

this IP address is needed for mask in Network 
management...

Which version of the tools are you using?
The more recent releases handle this correctly:

$ ucd-411/apps/snmpset localhost private
	ipAdEntAddr.127.0.0.1 a "255.255.255.255"
ipAdEntAddr.127.0.0.1: Bad value notation (255.255.255.255)
$ ucd-42/apps/snmpset localhost private
	ipAdEntAddr.127.0.0.1 a "255.255.255.255"
ip.ipAddrTable.ipAddrEntry.ipAdEntAddr.127.0.0.1 =
	No Such Object available on this agent

(I'm not immediately sure when this changed)
