It will tell how the octets should be presented. Look at IP-MIB, you
will get something like

IP-MIB::ipNetToPhysicalType.4.ipv6."20:01:04:70:df:9a:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:00:01"
= INTEGER: dynamic(3)
