Summary: snmpd dies snmpgetnext 

Initial Comment:
An snmpwalk of the machine running snmpd  snmp agent
caused snmpd to die and the following error message to
be output to /var/log/messages

Feb 26 12:02:33 caffeine kernel: cdrom: open failed.
Feb 26 12:02:34 caffeine modprobe: modprobe: Can't
locate module block-major-8
Feb 26 12:02:34 caffeine last message repeated 6 times
Feb 26 12:02:34 caffeine kernel: end_request: I/O
error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0

restarting snmpd, I try snmpget next on the last OID
request that suceeded:

[root@caffeine /root]# snmpgetnext localhost public
system.sysORTable.sysOREntry.sysORUpTime.9
Timeout: No Response from localhost.

and the message is repeated in /var/log/messages:

Feb 26 12:25:53 caffeine snmpd: snmpd startup succeeded
Feb 26 12:26:11 caffeine kernel: cdrom: open failed.
Feb 26 12:26:11 caffeine modprobe: modprobe: Can't
locate module block-major-8
Feb 26 12:26:11 caffeine last message repeated 6 times
Feb 26 12:26:12 caffeine kernel: end_request: I/O
error, dev 02:00 (floppy), sector 0



I am using 
ucd-snmp-4.2-4.i386.rpm

[root@caffeine /root]#  snmpd -v

UCD-snmp version:  4.2
