Bug #122140, was updated on 2000-Nov-10 09:28
Here is a current snapshot of the bug.

Project: net-snmp
Category: apps
Status: Open
Resolution: None
Bug Group: None
Priority: 5
Summary: snmptable -x option and -f option

Details: When the -x option is used by itself, a separate column is appended as the \
first column of the table output. It is separatd from the next column by white space.

When the -f (with a : or a + separator) is used, the index is appended to the first \
value of the first column.

Example:

with -x option:

index communityRowStatus communityNumber communityName
     1 active ? gary

with -x -f : option

indexcommunityRowStatus:communityNumber:communityName
    1active:?:gary

So, it appears as a separate column when no delimiter is used, but appears as the \
first characters of the first value when a delimiter is used.

It should appear
index:communityRowStatus:communityNumber:communityName
1:active:?:gary

OR am I missing something??

ALSO - some of the man pages (snmpcmd in particular) need updating. The -O option \
doesn't appear to function correctly.

Thanks.

Comment:
The problems with -x (which is now -i) and -f has fixed in the current source, \
including the 4.2.pre1 pre-release.

What problems do you have with the -O parameter?
