Initial Comment:
I configure with --with-perl-modules=no, and noticed this during the install:

Appending installation info to \
/tmp/f12-trunk/usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i386-linux-thread-multi/perllocal.pod

It's also worth nothing that I specified a prefix of /usr/local, but perllocal.pod is \
under /usr/lib. I would have expected /usr/local/lib...
