Summary: Net-snmp 5.4.2.1 - error in interface enumeration

Initial Comment:
I use latest (5.4.2.1) net-snmp daemon, and on "snmpwalk -v 3 -l AuthNoPriv -u user \
-A pass 192.168.x.x .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.2" I get that interface list with duplicate \
entries:

IF-MIB::ifDescr.1 = STRING: lo
IF-MIB::ifDescr.2 = STRING: eth0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.3 = STRING: sit0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17297 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17300 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17302 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17303 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17305 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17306 = STRING: ppp1
IF-MIB::ifDescr.17307 = STRING: ppp2

"ip a" shows that:
1: lo: <LOOPBACK,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 16436 qdisc noqueue
    link/loopback 00:00:00:00:00:00 brd 00:00:00:00:00:00
    inet 127.0.0.1/8 scope host lo
    inet6 ::1/128 scope host
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
2: eth0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc htb qlen 1000
    link/ether 00:07:e9:00:00:20 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff
    inet 192.168.xxx.xxx/24 brd 192.168.xxx.xxx scope global eth0
    inet6 fe80::207:e9ff:fe0a:f420/64 scope link
       valid_lft forever preferred_lft forever
3: sit0: <NOARP> mtu 1480 qdisc noop
    link/sit 0.0.0.0 brd 0.0.0.0
17305: ppp0: <POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1400 qdisc htb qlen 3
    link/ppp
    inet 172.31.255.2 peer xxx.xxx.133.5/32 scope global ppp0
17306: ppp1: <POINTOPOINT,MULTICAST,NOARP,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1400 qdisc htb qlen 3
    link/ppp
    inet 172.31.255.2 peer xxx.xxx.134.216/32 scope global ppp1

Also I have an error "error on subcontainer 'ia_addr' insert (-1)" in logs, which is \
caused by same server-side IPs of tunnels (but this IMHO doesn't violate standarts), \
and HUGE CPU and memory usage by snmpd...

P.S. IMHO it'll be great to identify ppp interfaces by both server&cient IPs, or to \
make possibility to exclude some kinds of interfaces from monitoring
