Summary: 5.4 lists additional ppp0 instances after ip address change

Initial Comment:
If you are on a dynamic IP and your provider assigns you a new IP, then the snmp is \
broken, it lists an additional ppp0 device after each ip-change even if ifconfig \
lists only one:

snmpwalk -v 1 -c public localhost interface|grep ppp0

IF-MIB::ifDescr.61 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.62 = STRING: ppp0
IF-MIB::ifDescr.63 = STRING: ppp0

Just tested snmp 5.4.1, it is unusable with ipchanges.

Nope, not yet fixed, unfortunately. Addressing it properly isn't trivial,
unfortunately.

when will this be fixed? It is a really nasty bug and makes snmp with ppp0
unusable.
