Summary: snmpv3 user does not support AES privProtocol
Initial Comment:
I craeted user with MD5 as authProtocol and ASE as privProtocol, and while
using the user for the snmpwalk, does not worked.
I enabled the agent logs, where "asn_parse_sequence" funtion returns error \
"SNMPERR_ASN_PARSE_ERR(-29)", which is called by "snmpv3_scopedPDU_parse" function.
Error: "Parsed SNMPv3 message (secName:user2, secLevel:authPriv): ASN.1 parse error \
in message"
In "asn_parse_sequence" "asn_parse_header" function returns NULL, this is the main \
resons for the command to fail,
In "_net_snmp_transform_oids_h" i found that these OID not defined.
/* XXX: OIDs not defined yet */
NETSNMP_IMPORT oid usmAESPrivProtocol[10]; /* == {
1,3,6,1,6,3,10,1,2,4 }; */
NETSNMP_IMPORT oid *usmAES128PrivProtocol; /* backwards compat */
Does this is the problem for getting the error as "SNMPERR_ASN_PARSE_ERR".
If so please some one let me where these OID are need to be defined.
Reagars
Ramesh.
