Initial Comment:
I have downloaded net-snmp from the sunfreeware site 
for solris 10 machine. The package is netsnmp-5.1.4-
sol10-sparc-local.gz . I am able to succesfulyy able 
to install it on this. But while running the snmpd 
daemon i am getting the error:
init_kmem: kvm_open failed: Bad file number
init_kmem: kvm_open failed: Error 0.

What could be the possible problem for this.

1) 5.1.4 is EOL.
2) Try "snmpd -r ..."
3) If you're just starting with net-snmp, I strongly suggest
to start with 5.3.1.rc1 (or later)
